The first thing you should note about Reductil is that it may be dangerous to use the drug if you have an underlying health condition.
Though athletes and bodybuilders in particular can gain a lot from the use of this prescription medication as it can help in their cutting cycle, users still have to thread on the side of precaution.
Sibutramine hydrochloride can be harmful to both men and women under a number of circumstances. This is why it is very important to consult your doctor before, during and after you start off a Reductil cycle.
Here are some precautions for Reductil worth mentioning.
Reductil and Pregnancy
If you intend getting pregnant during the course of your Reductil cycle, it is advisable to stop using the drug. Also, if you are yet to commence using the medication and you are pregnant, you should NOT begin a cycle. This is one of the precautions for Reductil that women should note. This prescription drug may be detrimental to the overall health of the unborn child and even the mother.
Similarly, lactating and breastfeeding mothers are advised NOT to use sibutramine hydrochloride or any such weight loss medication and the drug could be transmitted to their infant through their breast milk.
Other Precautions for Reductil Use
Apart from pregnancy and breastfeeding, Reductil should NOT be used if you have a pre-existing medical condition. There are many ailments for which administering a Reductil dosage of any kind would only serve to aggravate the problem.
Below are a few of these pre-diagnosed medical concerns that you should be aware of:
- Seizures and epilepsy,
- Glaucoma,
- Kidney disorders,
- Liver disorders,
- A bleeding issue,
- Gallstones,
- A history of high blood and intraocular pressure,
- A history of pulmonary hypertension,
- A history of hemorrhoids,
Reductil is known to cause some users to experience an increase in both their heart rate and blood pressure. So as a precaution it is advisable to always go for a medical check up with your doctor after the commencement of a Reductil dosage.
As a safety precaution, you can go for a checkup after a couple of weeks of using the medication. You should go for an examination at least six (6) times within the initial three month period of administration. After this time, your checkup can be adjusted to just once in three months.
However, note that you should NOT continually use Reductil beyond a 24 month period. In a situation where your heart rate and/or blood pressure has increased during your Reductil use, your doctor would more than likely recommend a discontinuation of the use of the weight loss drug.
